Unity Game Development - Cinematic Cutscenes

Unity Third Person Adventure Game
Cinematic Cutscenes Production
In one of the game development projects I undertook during my university studies, I took on the responsibility of creating cutscenes and designing environments. Cutscenes play a pivotal role in narrative-driven games, particularly in the adventure-based game that my teammates and I developed using Unity. These cutscenes were meticulously crafted to complement the game's storyline and offer additional context to players. They were strategically integrated into the game, appearing at specific checkpoints to enhance the gaming experience. The production process for these cutscenes encompassed tasks such as setting virtual camera movements and angles, animating objects within scenes, incorporating special effects, and designing sound elements.

Arissa walks through the portal and arrives in a dark, foggy environment.
She notices a light orb amidst the fog and must find a way to reach it.

She reaches the light orb and approaches it with curiosity.
As she gets close to the orb, it emits light, revealing a mysterious figure that suddenly appears.

The scene unfolds atop the hill where the final villain boss awaits.
This marks the climax of the story, where Arissa confronts the villain face to face and engages in battle.

Arissa shoots the one and only arrow of light towards the final boss, dealing a decisive blow.
With this, the villain of this story arc is finally defeated. As Arissa feels worn out from the final battle, a yellow light floats up in front of her and transforms into the guardian.
